Here's another insightful remark that I recently came across, which was written in 2004 by Rev William Sloane Coffin, former chaplain of Yale University and Vietnam War protester:

The President [after 911] did not have to declare war. He could have called the terrorists mass murderers, their deeds crimes against humanity. He could have said to the American people and the world, "We will respond, but not in kind. We will not seek to avenge the death of innocent Americans by the death of innocent victims elsewhere, lest we become what we abhor. We refuse to ratchet up the cycle of violence that brings only ever more death, destruction and deprivation. What we will do is build coalitions with other nations. We will share intelligence, freeze assets and engage in forceful extraditions of terrorists if internationally sanctioned. I promise to do all in my power to see justice done, but by the force of law only, never by the law of force."

I really enjoyed this article and it made so much sense. I often do this little crazy thing when no one is looking, when I have a small or big achievement. I punch the air with quick little hits and giggle to myself. Yes this sure sounds like I need committing but let me tell you, it sure gets those good endorphins flowing and brings joy into my heart. Eric you are certainly an interesting person and I loom forward to learning more from you. It was also a pleasure to meet you in person.

The 7 habits of highly effective people taught me a valuable lesson - That to be empowered you need to be independent and not have a dependency.. that way you can avoid words like response, necessity heartbroken, helpless, victim or weak etc and adopt words like

Power, Free, Fearless, Dominant, Authority, Cognitive..

another really good book to EMBODY is the 50th law by Robert Greene.

Just my 2cents, thanks for the recommendations.
